Week of March 27-31

Well parents, just one more week until Spring Break.  Reminder that pictures will be March 29th if you choose to participate. Next week will be normal week with a weekly reading, spelling, and English test.  If your child will be gone please let me know.  Other than that, I hope everyone has a great weekend.  You can find a list of everything we are doing on the Friday Flier part of my website.

Not a whole lot to discuss this week.  You can find everything you need to know in the Friday Flier.  I do want to thank all the parents for making sure students were here and on time everyday for PAWS.  I really appreciate that.  Thank you.  I hope everyone has a great weekend and maybe I'll see some of you fathers at the daddy/daughter dance.

Week of March 13-17

This week we will be taking the last portion of our PAWS assessment which is math.  We will test on Tuesday, Wednesdays, and Thursday.  Breakfast will be served on those testing days as well.  Tuesday will be breakfast pizza.  Wednesday will be sausage pancake and Thursday will be breakfast burrito.  We are also starting Unit 5 of our reading series with the story Suki's Kimono.  For right now we will have our once a month swim on Tuesday, March 14th.  I believe we will be done testing by the time we go swimming.  I hope everyone enjoys their weekend.

Week of March 6-10

Reminder that we are starting our PAWS assessment next week on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.  We are asking to please make sure students are here on time everyday.  School starts at 7:50.  The school will provide a breakfast on those days for students to eat.  We are also having a pep rally on those days to get students pumped up about the test.  We will test in the morning.  Because we are taking the reading portion first we will mainly focus on math next week.  We are done with Unit 4 so we will be taking our Unit 4 benchmark assessment next week.  I know that we don't necessarily look forward to these assessments but none the less they are important and we need to make sure we remind the students to do their best in a positive way.  Thank you for your support.
